DIGC: Destiny Recovery Convention- Day2 Morning

#DRC2017 – DAY 2, MORNING SESSION - 24TH MAY 2017
3RD MESSAGE
MESSAGE TOPIC: A LIFTING UP THROUGH UPRIGHTNESS
BY: @DrPastorPaulEnenche
SERVICE OBJECTIVE: Understanding the lifting power of uprightness

THINGS TO NOTE:
1. One of the greatest helps God can give to anybody in life and ministry is the help to maintain uprightness of character
1a. Any possession or qualification without character is a setup for disaster
To be made visible without character is a visibility unto ignominy
1b. The uprightness of character is both a lifter of people and a sustainer of the lifted
To put away uprightness is to embrace nakedness

SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLES OF MEN LIFTED BY UPRIGHTNESS:
i. Noah (Gen. 6:9; 1Pet. 2:5)
ii. Joseph (Gen. 37:2; 39:9; 42:18; 41:46; 50:26)
iii. Daniel (Dan. 1:8; 6:10; 1:21)
iv. Abraham (Gen. 14:22-23; 12:4; 25:7)
2. The most celebrated attribute of God is His character of Holiness (Isa. 6:1-5; Rev. 4:8)

HOW DOES UPRIGHTNESS OR RIGHTEOUSNESS OF LIFE LIFT A PERSON?
1. Uprightness catapults people into the sphere of God (Ps. 24:3-5; Isa. 33:15-16)
To be upright is to end right up
2. Uprightness of character eliminates the gravitational pull of iniquity (Heb. 12:1; 3:23)

SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLES OF THOSE THAT CRASHED BY SIN:
i. Queen Vashti (Esth. 1:12-15)
ii. Lucifer (Isa. 14:12-15)
iii. Samson (Judg. 16:20-21)
3. Uprightness of character forbids the invitation of the enemy for the resistance of life and destiny (Zech. 3:1-5)
What you wear determines who you attract
What you wear determines whether you are assisted or resisted by God or the devil
WHAT UPRIGHTNESS OF CHARACTER ENTAILS:
1. The possession of the fear of the Lord (Job 1:1)
2. The possession of a lively, living or working conscience (Acts 23:1; 24:16)
3. Operation with the right motives (1Sam. 2:3b)
4. The passion to please God
5. Consideration for the feelings and welfare of others (Prov. 12:10)
6. The willingness to take a stand, even if it means standing alone
KEYS TO WALKING IN UPRIGHTNESS OF CHARACTER:
1. The maintenance of consistent fellowship and communion with God (Isa. 6:1-5)
2. The continual application and reliance on grace to be upright (Heb. 4:16; Tit. 2:11-12)
To be grace-filled is to be sinless
Over confidence in one’s ability leads to sudden crash in character and destiny
3. The avoidance of the wrong company (1Cor. 15:33)
4. The steady ingestion of the Word (Ps. 119:9, 11; John 15:3; Eph. 5:26)
5. The rejection of the garment of filthiness and the establishment of the garment of righteousness at the place of prayer (Zech. 3:1-3)
Don’t manage relationships; anyone who does not share your principles is not good for management
It is better to be friendless for a while than to be with the wrong friend for a minute
Be careful who you give you ears to
PRAYERS
Father, I come before You today and I ask that every garment of iniquity and filthiness be set on fire. Anything in me that is not from You, let it catch fire. Father, whatever is contrary to Redemption in my life, let it catch FIRE!
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
- Every desire, attraction and pull in the direction of anything that is not of God, today that pull dies!
- That area in which you are trusting God for light, light shall come! Clarity shall come!
- There is the restoration of glory
