It is discipline that makes disciples. Only the disciplined have a place in this Grace era
1 Corinthians 9:24-27
I am what I am by the GRACE of GOD.....but I LABOUR, I keep UNDER my body
Only highly disciplined people become distinguished. Discipline is not a gift. It is a habit that we cultivate
Nobody is born with the grace of discipline, you simply decide to have it
1 Cor 5:24-26, 13:13 It is not a gift, it is a habit, it is an attitude. Attitude is what determines altitude
Isaac kept digging the wells while they were covering them. In the same year, God blessed him.
What is DISCIPLINE?
#1. Discipline is self-control.
Any car that has no brake is the exit way to death.
Self control is putting a brake to your system. Anything you don't control will soon control you
#2. Discipline is to be purpose-driven
If you don't know where you are going, anywhere will look like it.
When you know where you are going, you will not accept counterfeits.
#3. Discipline is to be orderly
#4. Discipline is to be cultured.
#5. Discipline is to set boundaries.
#6. Discipline is to apply FORCE in order to be FIRST.
#7. Discipline is becoming a LAW unto yourself.
#8. Discipline is the ability to say NO!
If everything you say is YES, YES, YES, you are not disciplined. One of the best words to teach a child growing up is to say NO.
#9. Discipline is having standards in order to stand out. If you don't have standards, you won't stand out.
#10. Discipline is losing your will for God's will. Jesus said "not my will but yours be done"
2 PRINCIPLES OF DISCIPLINE
#1. OBSERVATION
Observe more, talk less. If you ask a stupid question, we may think you are stupid. look at those who have obtained and do what they did to obtain it. we are in a generation where everyone wants to be original; unfortunately, there is no original grace. Isaiah 51;1-3
#2. VISION
When you know where you are going, you won't accept anything.Vision is a picture of the end.
If you keep a picture of the end near, you will live an orderly life. You won't see a BEND and think it is the END. Vision is to be Mission-Driven. God has shown you many things, what are you doing about it? Vision is the picture of the end. Mission is the direction towards the picture of the end you have seen. GRACE is not waiting for things to happen. Grace is positioning yourself to partake of the happenings. if you are still WAITING, you are WASTING! Desire from God to join this revolutionary Army of Grace.
